Handheld Shower
The difference between having a quality handheld shower and a poor handheld shower can lead to the difference between a pleasant and unpleasant start of the day for those of us who shower in the morning. A shower that feels similar to a massage will invigorate us throughout the day while a shower that smacks us in the face with uncontrollable power will not only leave our hair flat, but our soul wounded.

Handheld Shower Heads
The most important part of a handheld shower is it’s head. This controls the water output and the location of each strand of water. The right mixture can feel magnificent. The wrong can, again, lead to a smack in the face.
We love the handheld shower heads currently sold by Waterpik and Moen, but are less enthralled with the shower head offerings from Peerless and Waxman. However, everyone has their own style and, what is right for me isn’t necessarily right for you.
When you are looking for a showerhead, you should be aware of a few different things:
- flexibility of water pressure
- sturdiness of the showerhead (does it break easily)
- connectivity to the rest of the handheld shower (if not all the same)
Handheld Shower Hose
The handheld shower hose gives the handheld shower the reach it needs. Do you need 5 feet or 8 feet or some or shorter / longer? It all depends on the size of your shower and what is necessary for reach. Normally 3 feet is sufficient, but you will need to have your hose fit your needs rather than you fitting the hose’s needs.
Handheld Shower Bracket
The handheld shower bracket allows you to hold the shower head to the wall and is essential for appearance. Fortunately, you can find them extremely cheap these days on Amazon (can find them for under $5). Make sure you secure yourself a handheld shower bracket that doesn’t break or show damage due to water easily. LDR and Moen make some decent shower brackets.
Handheld Shower Filter
What’s special about a shower filter is that it will help you remove all of the KDF, Chlorgon and Chlorine from your water. This makes you feel healthier and leaves your hair feeling better to the touch. We will discuss this in more details throughout this site. However, if you want the cleanest water coming out of your shower, a handheld shower filter will be a great addition for you.
